Development is a basic human right, the right to development belongs to the third generation of human rights which are concerned about the development of the individual and society as the main factor to achieve progress in all fields.
The International interest began on this right and recognition of the human right, as established by the Economic and Social Council of the United Nations team of experts to work on the concept of the right to development years 1981. After 6 six years the declaration of development have been drafted , adopted by the United Nations in 1986 and the declaration of the millennium development goals of the millennium, which constituted a milestone in global development since its launch in 2000. Despite the progress in different Axes of the millennium goals, but the United Nations in response to the growing global challenges launched one of the largest programs of consultation in its history to find a new solution, resulting in Agenda containing 17 goals of Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), which aims to focus on international development in three dimensions - economic, social and environmental.
In this context, and in the light of the existing development challenges in Upper Egypt, founded the Human Rights Association for Community Development in 1964 as a civil war with number 596 of the year 2004. The Society works under the umbrella of the ministry of social solidarity in accordance with the law No. 70 of 2017.
In July 2012, the United Nations Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) adopted the recommendation of the Committee on Non-Governmental Organizations to grant association advisory capacity, which allowed us to deal with the Economic and Social Council and its subsidiary commissions as well as United Nations Secretariat, Programs , Funds and The agencies affiliated it to raise the recommendations or the inclusion of topics on the international agenda.

Provide all our experiences leading civil organization in Assiut in the defense of human rights issues. In order to provide sustainable development programmers and contribute to community empowerment ,especially the marginalized groups of the enjoyment of the rights and fundamental freedoms, As well as the use of community-based accountability mechanisms to improve the quality of public services provided by government or civil society.

A society which is aware of its rights and the formation of a social, economic, cultural and political values of equality and social justice, tolerance and respect for each other without discrimination. The Human Rights Association in assiut strong developmental entity capable of providing integrated services to all walks of society and leading expertise in the field of defense of rights and freedoms.
